I’m thrilled to be performing “Manufacturing Mischief” again—this time at the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival!
This from the Chicago International Puppetry Theater Festival Website:
Noam Chomsky, Steve Jobs, Ayn Rand, Karl Marx, Elon Musk, and President Drumpf are among the figures represented in Pedro Reyes’s satirical puppet play, Manufacturing Mischief. Tackling ideas around the ethics of artificial intelligence, the use of technology to solve humanity’s problems, Randian philosophy, and the current political climate in the U.S., Reyes blends dark humor with sharp cutting commentary on morality, freedom, inequality, and techno-enthusiasm. Also: Karl Marx raps.
Hey, they’re talking about me! I play Karl Marx, and yes I DO rap in this crazy show! Additionally, I play Elon Musk and Frida Kahlo. (See why I’m excited?) Oh, and let’s not forget Chip, the frazzled Wendy’s employee!
